Depilatory Wax FAQs
How do A1, B1 and S1 differ?
A1 is rosin free and unscented, with a typical 6–8 second setting time. B1 is white and unscented, with an approximate 8–10 second setting reference. Both are hard waxes removed after the film is ready.
S1 is creme soft wax: apply a thin layer and remove it with waxing strips. It is available in five variants—Creme, Lavender, Lemon, Green Tea and Tea Tree—in 400g cans.
Hard wax setting times depend on layer thickness and room conditions. Rosin-free status has not been confirmed for B1 or S1; request the current ingredient declaration for your selected formula.
What temperature should I use?
Use the operating instructions for the selected formula. A1’s listed 48°C melting point is not a guaranteed skin-application temperature; a temperature range has not been confirmed here for B1 or S1.
Before application, check:
- the formula-specific preparation instructions
- the actual wax temperature
- the recommended application method
Do not use a heater’s maximum setting or the wax’s melting point as an application-temperature guide.
How long do A1 and B1 take to set?
The listed references are 6–8 seconds for A1 and 8–10 seconds for B1. These describe setting after application, not melting time in the heater.
Layer thickness and room conditions affect timing. Check film readiness before removal rather than relying only on a countdown.
Which hair types and treatment areas should I evaluate?
A1 is listed for fine and coarse body hair. For any selected formula, review:
- the intended treatment area
- hair type and length
- the product’s application instructions
- individual skin suitability
B1 is positioned for body waxing. Do not assume every formula has the same treatment-area guidance or removal performance.
Does rosin free mean allergy free?
Rosin-free positioning describes the formula’s ingredient profile, not universal skin suitability.
A1 is listed as rosin free. Request the current ingredient declaration and follow product instructions when assessing suitability.
Unscented is also a separate characteristic; it does not establish fragrance-free composition or allergy-free use.
How should I evaluate wax removal?
For A1 and B1, assess film integrity, stringing and residue at the recommended layer thickness. For S1, assess thin spreading and removal with suitable waxing strips. Record the formula, heating settings and room conditions when comparing samples.
What does thin application mean?
A1 and B1 are listed for smooth, thin application. During evaluation, assess:
- even coverage at the recommended thickness
- defined treatment edges
- film readiness and removal
S1 also uses a thin layer, but it is removed with waxing strips rather than as a hard wax film. Thin application does not mean spreading the wax as thinly as possible. Follow the selected product’s instructions.
What are the minimum order quantities?
Standard A1 stock has no MOQ. S1 has a minimum order of 504 cans; confirm assortment and labeling requirements. Confirm B1 stock quantities and all private-label or formula-development terms in your quotation.
What can I discuss for a private-label project?
Share your project brief, including:
- selected formula or development goals
- intended use and target market
- color and scent requirements
- application characteristics to evaluate
- pack sizes and order quantities
- bag or jar packaging and artwork
Available options, sample arrangements, minimum quantities and timing depend on the agreed project scope.
How do I choose a compatible wax heater?
Check the formula’s preparation instructions against the selected heater’s operating range and approved wax formats.
During sample evaluation, assess heating and holding performance with your intended load. Check actual wax temperature before application.
